Trust Test

A trust test is designed to assess the perceived credibility of a site or product and seeks to find out what identifying messages the user receives. The value is in how this test can reveal users’ true feelings and reactions, gauging the level of confidence in which a user would use the site or product.

This test can be incorporated into a user interview, user surveys or user tasks.

Relevant questions include : 

  • Does the content on this site seem reliable?
  • Does this site product seem genuine to you?
  • How likely are you to use this site/product?
  • Is the information you see valid?
